Bloom / Wilt / Bloom
May 2025
This project reimagines time as a quiet cycle of growth and decay, rather than a mechanical tick. It visualises the passage of time through the metaphor of aging.

Inspired by the Ouroboros and Russian nesting dolls, this project visualises aging as a cyclical and layered process—celebrating it as a dignified rite of passage rather than decline. It reflects on how time and transformation shape identity, especially through a feminine lens.Technical Process:
I modelled and animated a looping birth-to-death cycle in Blender, using UV mapping to wrap custom baby and elder faces created in Illustrator. A soft wood texture was applied to maintain visual clarity across the 3D forms.Interactivity:
To complement the animation, I created an interactive Javascript feature where each user click plants a flower that blooms, decays, and disappears over 60 seconds—transforming the cursor into a metaphor for temporal control and poetic aging.
